With the latest add-on to the Cheapa Campa fleet, this also means a new addition to Real Value Campervans' units for rent. And that is the Vivid Camper.

Real Value Vivid Camper

The Vivid Camper is a 4 berth vehicle featuring an interior and exterior double bed―one from the convertible seating lounge and the other from the rooftop tent. The rear area is designated for the extendable kitchen with sink, portable gas stove, fridge, utensils, and storage. There's an internal walkthrough for convenience. And if you've decided to start your NZ road trip sooner, don't forget to check this NZ free camping tool, which provides you with significant information about the rules and guidelines per area.

Real Value Campervans is often tagged as one of the cheapest New Zealand campervan hire companies that offer quality vehicles. But... how is it possible?

About Real Value Campervans New Zealand

What's so special about Real Value Campervans, and how do they offer quality vehicles at cheaper rates? Well, it is because the company enters into agreements with different campervan businesses to sublease their vehicles. And for this one, they source out their campervans from Cheapa Campa―a relatively popular campervan rental company in New Zealand offering cheap and well-equipped vehicles.

But why does Real Value Campervans offers both quality and affordability that others can’t? First, they do not own the vehicles, hence not carrying any costs of maintaining them. Second, they can get wholesale price for sub-hiring from another company on a large scale. Third, they don't mark up the vehicle to the full discount given to them. So, that leaves you with a cheaper rental with the same quality vehicles. Having a special agreement with a certain booking engine, Real Value can get the traffic it needs to be able to get the discounts it does.

It only makes good business sense on behalf of Real Value Campervans to source the best quality vehicles from Cheapa Campa so that renters will have an option in case the bigger company runs out renters during peak season. The fleet ranges from 2-3 berth Hitop to 4-6-berth motorhomes. Aside from the cheaper rates, all vehicles on set are 3- 5 years old and are well-equipped with significant features for a comfy road trip. Except for the Hitop, renters will enjoy the inclusion of a shower and toilet in each campervan.

Real Value Hitop

A perfect treat for budget-conscious couples, this economical motorhome allows you to bring your child aged between 8 and 13 years. The campervan provides a double-deck at the rear and single bed overhead for your kid. The Hitop is the only vehicle on the fleet with an engine size of 2.7 L petrol, unlike the others with 2.5 L diesel. Still, the campervan offers some essential facilities like fridge, microwave, 2-burner gas stove, cutlery and crockery, and useful extras such as fly screens, radio and CD player.

Real Value 2 Berth ST

Another 2-berth campervan on the fleet is the Ford or VW model that the company claims to be self-contained. It could be as the vehicle comes with a shower and toilet, and even certain improvements like a 3-burner gas stove, bigger fridge, hot water, and more. The internal access and heating in the main cab also make your trip more convenient.

Real Value 4 Berth

Run by a Ford or VW model, this 4-berth motorhome is a fantastic pick for a family holiday as the vehicle features a maximum of two baby seats. The 2 double beds can cater not just a couple with 2 kids, but also 4 adults. The entertainment system of this vehicle is also a nice catch with CD/ DVD player and TV added to your road trip.

Real Value Endeavour

Another 4 berth recommended for families, the Endeavour is a tailored Toyota Hiace that fits 2 adults and 2 children. The layout features a rear kitchen and center living area that converts into sleeping space. Offering a distinct layout, this campervan comes with two double beds (up and down). So, if you're travelling with kids, they love climbing the bunk beds for sure. No shower and toilet though.

Real Value 6 Berth

Enjoy a fancier yet still budget-friendly ride with this 6-berth motorhome. With 3 double beds, internal access, shower with toilet, you'll certainly experience a cozy holiday on wheels. This is the only option on set that comes with a large awning that extends up to the outdoor living area.

The insurance excess varies with the vehicle rented. For the 2/3 berth Hitop and 2-berth ST, the excess is at NZD $2, 700.00, and if you pay an additional of NZD $35.10 per day, you'll reduce the liability to NZD $315.90. The 4-berth and 6-berth motorhomes have an excess of NZD $5, 000.00 each, and by paying NZD $45.63 per day, the excess will now be at NZD $410.67. If you avail of the insurance option, it will already include the following package deal: camping table with chair, gas refill, linens, bedding kits and more. Aside from the inclusions, the insurance package also reduces the bond from NZD $2700.00 to NZD $250.00 credit card pre-authorization.

Real Value Campervans may still be considered as a hidden gem because most prospect renters would weigh those known and reputable companies instead of third-party campervan hire. But if you hire from a booking engine, then you'll definitely realize that this company lets you save heaps of money for campervan rental.

Real Value Campervans definitely offers some of the best prices for campervans in their market segment and should be considered a “must” when getting quotes.

Campervan was a good size, mechanically okay. Well and truly in need of new tyres and a wheel alignment. Comfortable and clean. Had to wait 1 hour because our van was apparently not ready for pickup when we had booked 12 months in advance.

We had a great time with our family in the campervan! We unfortunately had a couple of leaks in the roof so some food and bedding got wet during some rain. The return of the vehicle was very easy and they young lady was brilliant! Wasn't so impressed with the way they bullied us into taking extra insurance which we weren't expecting that cost at a whopping $700!! They should just factor these things into their prices. Not scare poor tourists when they first arrive.
