About Tourist RV
Now under a new management, Tourist RV has still a lot to offer. They have been in the business since 1981, with a location north of Port Hope, Toronto. Formerly known as Hayes RV Sales, Tourist RV currently offers a large range of new and used vehicles for rentals and for sale. This one-stop shop also has parts, service, and even marine sales. As a whole, this quite popular RV dealer in Toronto caters to families wanting to explore Toronto and its neighboring areas without breaking the bank.
Fleet
Their rental fleet isn't that large yet it's attractive for those looking for newer models. These 2017 RVs fit 4 to 8 people comfortably. Renting a Class C motorhome from them gives you 100 km per day. However, you need to bring cooking and dining essentials as well as sleeping and camping necessities.
Vehicles
2017 Forester Mercedes FRC2401WSD
The Forester Mercedes FRC2401WSD is a 4-5 berth unit with one slide-out. Here, you can choose between the bunk mat or entertainment system. The cabover comes with a storage compartment for you to keep some of your stuff. There are also overhead cabinets in the kitchen area. At 24', this compact RV is equipped with basic things you need for a cozy ride, including U-dinette, queen bed, kitchen, and entertainment system. Plus, this unit has an electric awning, which is adjustable.
2017 Forester 3171DSF
The 32' RV is a suitable choice for a family of 8. It's a bunkhouse model armed with double slide-out, making the living room and bedroom more spacious. One amazing feature of this big Class C unit is the extended ceiling height at 7'. Other facilities inside include the enclosed and heated tanks, water filtration system, bunk beds, sofa bed, convertible dinette, and bathroom.
Insurance
The insurance deductible for the RVs is $7, 500 but can be reduced for an added rate. The Insurance VIP at $25 per day limits the liability to $1500 or $500 per occurrence. They also have insurance policy check (one-time) for $169.50. To get more info about the insurance, give them a message.
Reputation
With over three decades of RV experience, Tourist RV is one of the more popular RV dealers in the area. Their rental department may have only two RV options, but they offer a fleet of modern motorhomes that accommodate 4 to 8 people. One downside though is that the units are not that well-stocked, which means you need to bring your own sleeping, cooking, and dining needs. Still, if you want to rent a recent RV at an affordable rate, then they can be a decent choice.
Summary
If you're travelling with your small group of friends or your entire fam, then pick either one of the two Class C motorhomes by Tourist RV.
