Editors Review

Travel around Scotland with a VW or Mercedes unit from Wild Campers. With 4 depots in the country, it's not hard to start your adventure at once!

About Wild Campers

Wild Campers is a small, local business with multiple locations across Scotland. Their main branch is located in Ardtun, on the beautiful Isle of Mull. Other depots include Oban, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. To make it more convenient, they offer pick-up services in Oban or Mull as well as secure parking for your personal car. Aside from rentals, they also provide campervan conversions. And because of the owners' passion for wild life, they plant 1.5 trees for every rental to offset their carbon footprint.

Fleet

Choose from their fleet of VW and Mercedes Sprinter campervans. These can be the classic VW T4 or the new VW T6. They even have the latest 2020 Mercedes Sprinter that is perfect for a family of 4. And for pet lovers, you also have campervan options. Each of their depot location has its own specific campervan/s for rent. Nevertheless, all their campervans come with beautiful interiors and all the things you need for a fantastic holiday. Not only that, these are fuel efficient so you'll save money while enjoying the scenic routes!

Vehicles

Fergus

For Glasgow-based vans, there's Fergus, a 4 berth model with its own interior kitchen, double bed, and ample storage areas. This VW California Beach is an automatic model with 150HP diesel engine, cruise control, parking sensors, and such. And because of the vehicle dimension, this one is ideal for smaller roads and even ferries.

Islay

Islay is one of the two campervans  available in Edinburgh. This 2019 VW T6 is also suitable for a family of 4. There are two comfy double sized beds and a kitchen with 40 litre fridge, cooker, sink, and all other cooking and dining facilities.

Iver

Another campervan option for Edinburgh is Iver, a well-maintained 2013 VW T5 that caters to up to four persons. One unique feature that makes Iver a standout is that it's a pet-friendly unit. Yup, so if you're planning to travel together with your dog, this is the answer.

Shug

For those who want to start their adventure in Oban or Mull, you may want to consider renting Shug. This 2003 Ice Blue VW T4 provides a king-sized bed below and another double bed above. By 2020, there will be some major changes in this campervan. It will now come with a pop-top, kitchen, and diesel heater. Also, this is another pet-friendly unit offered by the company.

Hamish

The one and only Mercedes Sprinter on offer, Hamish is a recent conversion by the company. It's a 2008 MWB Mercedes Sprinter available for those travelling from Oban. Since this is a luxury model, expect for some beautiful upgrades inside this unit. It has two bunk beds at the rear and an extra wide bed in the middle. Plus, it comes with twin captains seats, electric windows, and reversing camera.

Insurance

For the insurance excess, it will range from £500 to £750, depending on nationality, points, nationality, and other key information. This excess will also be the equivalent amount for the security deposit to be paid via credit card. Also, this only covers for one driver only. Extra drivers is at £5 per day.

Reputation

Wild Campers converts and rents out beautiful VW and Mercedes campervans. Since they have four locations all over the country, it's not difficult to kick off your holiday at your preferred starting point. As of this writing, they offer five campervans that are well-maintained and well-equipped. Some of these units are even suitable for your dogs! Because of these unique features, it's no question why Wild Campers is a top-rated company in Scotland.

Summary
