Check out these 5 simple and lucrative ways to make money whilst traveling in your campervan.
Are you looking for ways to make money while traveling?
Obviously people travel at different times in their lives and so have radically different skills.
Some are retired, some straight out of college, sometimes its a big lap before the kids come, but most are trying different things in order to make their traveling dreams a reality by making money while traveling on the road.
There are a lot of different ways to make money on the road.
And, yes, it is possible to make enough money while traveling full-time that you can just keep going for as long as you like!
So in here I discuss some of the ways that I like best to make money remotely or passively so as to be able to keep traveling perpetually....
Crypto Trading
Whaaaaat! I hear you say. Whilst Crypto trading might not be the first thing that comes to mind it is definitely one of the most lucrative things you can do.
And if you get a little bit of training it is actually remarkably simple. Now most people think you have to stare at charts all day and read the news and stay up to date on all that's going one, but that's not actually true. It just depends on the method you choose to learn.
I got shown the passive-hands-off method the uses rules based decision making and bots to do all the work so that I actually only need to check my crypto about 30 mins a week. Less really, but I get a buzz out of seeing how much money its makes so I dive in there more often. If this idea interests you, you can check out the Crypto trading course I did here.
Affiliate or Online Marketing
Anyone can pick up online marketing pretty quickly but it you've ever been in marketing, sales or you're just a great story teller, then this way of earning passive income might be for you.
Simply put, you just find products out there in the world you like and promote them on the web. It might be through your own website (see next point in the list) or through other methods like Facebook, Instagram, Tick Tok and the like.
Affiliate marketing is great for travelers because there is no product delivery by you whatsoever. You literally just direct traffic on the net to a website and if the person buys, you get a commission.
Some sites don't even require the visitor to buy, but just do an action like fill in their details, complete quiz or check some buttons and you can still get paid. Same as above if you get some training in it before you hit the road, you will fare much better. Personally I like the online marketing training here the best as they are huge, friendly and driven to help people.
Start a website to make money while traveling
This is a very popular way to make money online whilst traveling. It's surprising how much can be made from a website but of course it won't happen for everyone and it can take some time, but don’t feel like making money on the road is unattainable, because everyone has to start somewhere.
So, blogging is not a way to get rich quickly, but it can be a way to make extra side hustle cash or even equivalent of you're old full time income if you put enough hard work and time towards it.
It links in nicely with the affiliate marketing mentioned above but you can also get sponsorships, write reviews, travel partnerships, e-courses, ebooks, advertising on your site and more.
You can create your own blog simply with a tool called wordpress or you can even just uses a 3rd party place like WIX when you first start out.
Obviously you need internet a lot for this method to work so look into the best and cheapest way to get internet into your campervan before you head off - and take the laptop of course.
Telecommute to make money while traveling
In this post Covid world where we all got used to Zooming and Teaming, maybe you'll be able to work for others straight out of the campervan. It's becoming more common for travelers to telecomute to a normal job Monday to Friday but actually be traveling the country in a motorhome - cool huh.
If you're current employer won't allow you to telecommute full time, these jobs do exist and are growing in numbers, so if living the wandering life is what you really want start looking around. You should be working to live, not living to work, right?
Freelance write or become a virtual assistant
Freelance writing and virtual assisting are some of the best ways to ease into the vagabond lifestyle.
Freelance writing can be a fun way to make money while traveling using knowledge you already have or writing about the new skills you are getting from traveling. Usually freelancers can write from anywhere in the world and at your own pace on many occasions.
Another online job, somewhat similar to freelance writing, is being a virtual assistant. There are plenty of freelance writers who provide this service as well. A virtual assistant is just like any assistant who might work at and office, but seeing as it is mainly phone and internet based work, you can generally do it from anywhere - which is good when you live in a motorhome, campervan or RV.
