Why we built this
In 2016, we rented a campervan in Cairns based on a review site that turned out to be funded by the very companies it was reviewing. The van broke down twice. The depot support was nonexistent. The 4.8-star rating was fiction.
We built Hit The Road Rentals to fix that. Every company on this site is reviewed independently. We don't accept advertising from operators. We don't get paid to rank a company higher. Our revenue comes from referral commissions — which means we have every incentive to send you to the operator who'll actually give you a good trip.
The comparison market for campervan rentals is full of fake review sites. We're trying to be the exception.
