Whitianga is a popular holiday town located on the eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula. The Mercury Bay region and The Coromandel Peninsula are well worth exploring over two or three days. The spectacular native bush, and the numerous beaches and coves in the area are captivating, and you can enjoy a relaxing, slow paced journey stopping at all the secret spots along the way. World famous Cathedral Cove is an essential stop when in the area, as are Hot Water Beach and the picturesque small towns of Hahei, Matarangi and Cooks Beach.
