About Ace Campervans

Ace Campervans started its campervan hire business in 1986 and continues to offer a fleet of good campers priced decently. Being in the rental industry for many years, Ace Campervans wants its customers to feel at home whenever they use their vehicles. For them, quality service is very important and they put themselves in the shoes of the renter every time. That’s why their vehicles are so personalized. They only have one branch in Rotorua but this does not mean you're limited to exploring different NZ spots. Fleet 

With the limited camper selection, it will not be hard for customers to choose what they want to rent. For the time being, Ace Campervans has only one type of vehicle for 2- berth, 4-berth, and 6-berth. Their vehicles range from 2010 to 2016. The campervan rates range from $175 to $250 per day and vary depending on the season. It is very expensive during the summer because it is the peak season. On the other hand, the rates are quite cheap from June to August. Ace Campervans vehicles are supplied with inclusions such as linens, gas cooktop, rear & front heating, cab air-conditioner, comfy camp chairs, and a small table. There are also additional items for rent like bike racks, barbecue grill, and GPS.

Vehicles

2 Berth 2010 Volkswagen Crafter

If you're looking for a 2-berth, then the only vehicle for rent is the 2 Berth 2010 Volkswagen Crafter. This 6-speed automatic, diesel type camper offers 1 king-sized bed, a kitchen equipped with microwave, 3 ring burner gas stove, rangehood and 60L fridge, a bathroom complete with hand basin, shower, and electric flush toilet and some outdoor essentials like camping chairs and camping table. The interior is way spacious and cozy but only the front area comes with air conditioning and central heating feature.

4 Berth 2016 Kea Breeze

If you’re travelling with a couple of friends or the entire family, you can have their 4-berth Kea Breeze. This automatic camper is a bit longer by 0.2 metre. Even so, the interior space may be quite limited, especially at the back area during night time. It is because the rear lounge that converts into a king bed also comes with additional bed configuration on its top for the extra double bed. But don't worry because you get the comfort you need while on board and even some extras like 4 camping chairs and one small table. 

6 Berth Volkswagen Crafter

For a family of 6, you have this larger Volkswagon Crafter with more length and interior height compared to the previous two campervans. Thus, this unit caters to the entire family without feeling restricted because of the sleek and versatile layout. Aside from its standard facilities, this campervan gives emphasis to its entertainment extras including TV and DVD player and additional 2 camping chairs to accommodate the entire family.

Insurance  

The bond for all Ace Campervans is at $2,000 for NZ license holders, $3,000 for overseas, or $4,000 for left-hand drivers. There will be no insurance excess if you'll pay $25 per day. Just take note that damage to awning, satellite domes, and solar panels are not part of the coverage. 

Reputation

Ace Campervans may not be the most popular campervan company in New Zealand, but they can be a good choice if you want to have a more custom-made campervan in New Zealand, especially in Rotorua. Also, their fleet provides options for couples and even families up to 6. And what's so great about their little-aged vehicles is the fact that you enjoy all comforts of home while on the road.
