Scenic NZ Motorhomes is a small motorhome hire company based in Christchurch, New Zealand. The company is owned by Billy & Cheryl, who are the main operators. Scenic motorhomes are well maintained and serviced to a high level of standard that aims at a comfort & luxury market. While the company doesn’t have a huge selection of vehicles to choose from, you can expect to get a reliable personalized service, since you will be dealing with the owners of the company. They provide free airport pick up and return to all clients. Not just that, you are given a complimentary welcome pack and a free night stay on-site. All these extra features make Scenic NZ Motorhomes a great, family company in the area.

Fleet

This family-run business mainly deals with providing fantastic European designed motorhomes. The company doesn’t seem to cater so much for campervans, and it’s aimed at offering clients comfortable premium vehicles, so expect to pay extra fees for the luxury and comfort. The average age of their vehicle fleet is about 2 years; all motorhomes are from Fiat Ducato and are fitted with a powerful 2.3l diesel engine. Couples with kids are provided with child booster seats and baby seats at free of charge.

AUTOROLLER 4 Person Executive

The Autoroller 4 person motorhome is the newest and grandest option on offer. It is built on a 2018 Fiat Ducato and is fitted with front captain seats, shower/toilet, electric dropdown bed, permanent rear bed with spacious storage, solar charging system, reversing camera and other cool features. The kitchen, on the other hand, is well-equipped with everything you need, from the oven & grill with a 3-burner gas to the 3-way fridge that contains a separate freezer. With such a fantastic layout, the Autoroller motorhome is the perfect unit for up to 4 adults or alternatively 2 children and 2 adults in absolute comfort & luxury.

TREND 4 Person Prestige

The Trend is another luxurious motorhome offered by Scenic. IT is 2 years older than the Autoroller, featuring a 2016 Fiat Ducato model. One of the noticeable differences between the two vehicles is space. It can sleep a maximum of 4 people in absolute luxury, with 2x double beds measuring 1.9m x 1.5m and 2.2m x 1.4m respectively. So, expect to enjoy a lovely night with this fantastic vehicle. Inside the motorhome, you will find plenty of space to move around and other amazing facilities. It has almost the same great features as the Autoroller like the front captain seats, oven and grill with 3 burner gas hobs, electric drop-down bed over the dinette, reversing camera, separate en-suite shower/toilet, and such. 

Insurance

When hiring vehicles from Scenic NZ motorhomes, you will be required to pay a hire fee that includes a compulsory standard insurance cover. The hirer is responsible for any damages done to the vehicle roof or underside parts such as windscreens and replacement of tyres.

The security bond for a 4 person motorhome and Autoroller motorhome is set at $4000 & $5000 for drivers under 25 years of age. The amount can be reduced to $2000 (drivers over 25) and $2500 (drivers under 25 yrs) at an additional cost of $35 per day.

With such fantastic vehicles to offer, Scenic has an amazing reputation among most clients. They are aiming at a luxurious market, so expect to get vehicles that are well maintained and treated. Their motorhomes are newer models and are worth every penny paid. Aside from their high-quality vehicles, they focus on excellent customer support that makes your holiday more enjoyable. The only downside is they only specialize on 4 berth, luxury motorhomes, which means no options for budget backpackers or bigger groups more than 4. Still, they are definitely something to seriously consider if you fit their limited range.
