Boomerang Campers
This small rental company offers comfortable and affordable campers, suitable for both families and big companies of friends. Campervans are available for rent from Adelaide, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Perth, and Sydney. The biggest advantage of Boomerang is their 4WD campervans, perfect for off-road adventures, yet still comfortable and safe. By the way, caravans are also available for rent.
All vehicles include air conditioning, kitchen equipment, linen and they are relatively new. Depending on the model, the fuel tanks range from 65 to 180 liters. Boomerang Campers offer a wide choice of vehicles, from Hi-top to 4WD, so they will suit every taste and budget.
Leisure Rent
Leisure Rent is a newish company in the campervan market, but growing very fast. Its owner has been in the business for over 30 years and knows everything about campervan rental. The biggest advantage of Leisure Rent is the easiness of their booking process. Most of the routine is done online, on the contrary with other companies, where you’ll have to do it all during pick-up. The downside? They are in Tasmania only.
The only type of vehicles provided are 4-berth hi-top campervans, but they are all exceedingly new due to the young age of the company. The owner has found a fantastic (but very secret) conversion company in Sydney with exquisite craftsmanship so gets them created to his spec there and drives them to Tasmania. Camperman
Unlike other campervan rental companies, Camperman is willing to rent vehicles to all clients over 19 years old. It makes them more open to young people, eager to explore Australia on four wheels, but not having crossed the age of 21.
Camperman offers hi-top vehicles of different size and spaciousness, suitable for families and companies of three to five people. To tell the truth, the fleet is not brand new, but, at least the company is upfront about it and they always give a detailed damage report and charge list, if there are any damages done an openness, not every company can boast about. In fact, un-invoiced charges are one of the biggest gripes people have about other companies when the renter does damage, Camperman has heard this feedback and taken a market lead in this area.
They are also one of the few companies with a branch in the popular Queensland town of Airlie Beach and the only company with a branch in Townsville, Qld.
Real Value
You might be surprised to hear that, being a reseller of Cheapa Campa branded campervans, Real Value often gives lower prices for the same quality. The company offers a wide variety of vehicles: 2/3-berth hi-top campervans, 2-, 4-, and 6-berth campers, Trailfinder campers, and, of course, 4WD campers. Most of these models have toilet/shower on board and they are not older than 3-5 years. In fact, any campervan or motorhome for hire in the Cheapa Campa range is for hire with Real Value. They are given a resellers discount in order to make their margin, but lucky for us, the renter, they don’t mark it up all the way making it cheaper.

All vehicles are relatively new, well equipped, and the fares are quite pleasant. The fleet includes 2-, 3-, and 4-berth campers. And although the company is not as popular as Autosleepers, it’s definitely worth your attention!
Kangaroo Campers
Established in 1998, Kangaroo Campers presents itself as “one-stop-shop”. The variety of vehicles is exquisite, from a 2-person hi-top camper to a 6-person motorhome. They will also provide you with additional equipment, required for a nice road trip, such as linen, kitchenware, and outdoor furniture. Therefore, you won’t have to worry about anything while traveling.
The company has a wide web of depots, with most of them situated on the eastern coast. However, they are also presented in Darwin and Perth. This company often books out, so get in early.
Cruisin' Motorhomes
Cruisin’ Motorhomes is a family-owned business, established in 1999. They offer a wide range of vehicles for every taste and budget, from mid-range campers to luxury motorhomes. Started in Tasmania, today, the company has depots all along the east coast.
It is safe to say that Cruisin’ is one of the most well-favored campervan rental companies in Australia. Most visitors are satisfied with the quality of the vehicles, relatively low prices, and a wide web of depots. However, many customers also reported bad maintenance of the fleet, which is something the company is looking at.
